5K Weekend Community Drawing Official Rules
Last updated August 6, 2026
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR SUPPORTER CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The drawing celebrates Project Airportsreaching 5,000 registered pilots and rewards participation in the free 5K Weekend 5K Celebration.
1. Sponsor and administrator
The sponsor and administrator is Project Airports. Promotion questions and requests for a winner list may be sent to info@projectairports.com.
2. Eligibility
Open worldwide to registered Project Airports account holders who are at least 18 years old and the age of majority where they live when they enter. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that participation is permitted in their jurisdiction. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
The sponsor, administrators, employees, contractors directly involved with the drawing, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible. A potential winner may be required to confirm eligibility before receiving the prize.
3. Entry period
The entry period begins Friday, August 7, 2026 at 12:00:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time and ends Monday, August 10, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM Mountain Daylight Time. The sponsor's database clock is the official timekeeper.
4. How to enter for free
Every eligible account with verified activity during the entry period receives one automatic activity entry. The easiest free method is to sign in and open the Claim Map. No flight simulator, payment, Supporter package, or airport visit is required for that base entry.
Verified activity also includes a signed-in portal wallet request, a recorded companion flight session, an airport visit, or account economy activity during the entry period. Automated, fraudulent, or manipulated activity may be disqualified.
5. Spotlight-airport entries
An eligible account receives one additional entry for each of the eight rotating spotlight airports it successfully visits during that airport's assigned 12-hour slot. The server's normal flight and visit verification must accept the visit. Each account may receive no more than one additional entry per slot, for a maximum of eight spotlight entries and nine total entries.
Spotlight-airport entries are free. The Project Airports software is free, and the base activity entry remains available through the website without owning or using a flight simulator.
6. Prize, value, and odds
- One winner will receive 500,000 Aeros credited to the winner's Project Airports account.
- Approximate in-service promotional value: USD 500. Aeros have no cash-redemption value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for real-world cash, goods, or services.
- The prize is not transferable or substitutable, except that the sponsor may substitute an in-service award of equal or greater value if necessary.
- Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Each valid entry has an equal chance in the drawing.
7. Winner selection and notification
After the entry period closes, the sponsor will freeze the eligible entry list and use a documented random selection from that list. The drawing is expected on or about August 11, 2026. The potential winner will be contacted through the email address attached to the selected account and must respond within seven days.
If the selected person is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, or declines the prize, the sponsor may select an alternate using the same random process. The prize will be credited only after eligibility is confirmed. The sponsor will notify the winner at no cost and intends to complete notification within 15 days of selection.
8. Separate guaranteed Supporter bonus
The community drawing is not a Supporter promotion. Separately, every account with a paid USD 25+ full Supporter package attached before the entry period ends will receive a guaranteed 15,000-Aero bonus after the cutoff. Previous qualifying full Supporters are included. This guaranteed bonus supplies no drawing entry and does not improve drawing odds.
9. Integrity and technical conditions
One natural person may not use multiple accounts to obtain duplicate base entries. Entries generated through bots, tampering, false information, abuse of visit telemetry, or interference with the Service may be voided. If a technical failure materially affects the promotion, the sponsor may suspend or modify it in a manner that preserves fairness and the free-entry opportunity, subject to applicable law.
10. Taxes, privacy, and general terms
The winner is responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations associated with the prize. Account and activity data are used to verify entries, administer the drawing, contact the potential winner, prevent abuse, and maintain an audit record, consistent with the Project Airports Privacy Policy. Entry is subject to these Official Rules and the Terms of Service. If they conflict regarding this drawing, these Official Rules control.
