Terms of Service

Last updated July 1, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Project Airportsfor use of our website, builder, companion app, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them - please read them carefully.

1. Who we are & acceptance

The Service is operated by Project Airports ("Project Airports", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm you can form a binding contract and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Project Airports. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise. Don't impersonate others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, infringe others' rights, or upload content you don't have the rights to.
  • Upload or place content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to bypass the security of the Service or its build infrastructure.
  • Cheat, exploit, automate, or manipulate the economy to earn or transfer Aeros in unintended ways.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Use the Service to build content that misrepresents real-world aeronautical data in a way intended to deceive real-world navigation.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Your content & license

You keep ownership of the airport designs and other content you create ("Your Content"). To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, compile, distribute, and display Your Content for the purpose of running and promoting the Service - including compiling it into MSFS packages and making published airports available to other users and syncing them into the sim. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.

Airports and content that other users publish belong to them; the fact that you can download or fly them does not give you ownership or the right to redistribute them outside the Service.

6. Aeros & the virtual economy

  • Aeros is a virtual, in-world currency with no monetary value. It is not money, credit, or property, cannot be redeemed, cashed out, or exchanged for real-world value, and cannot be transferred except as the Service allows.
  • We may issue, adjust, expire, or remove Aeros, and change earn rates, prices, and economy rules at any time to keep the game balanced or to address abuse.
  • Aeros and virtual items are licensed to you for use within the Service, not sold, and confer no ownership rights.

7. Supporter contributions

Project Airports is free to use. You may choose to make a one-time supporter contribution, processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal) under their own terms. Contributions help fund hosting and development; any perks are a thank-you and are not a purchase of Aerosor of any right or guarantee. Except where required by law, contributions are non-refundable. If you believe there's a billing error, contact us and we'll try to help.

8. Third-party services & Microsoft Flight Simulator

Project Airports is an independent, community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored byMicrosoft, Asobo Studio, or any other trademark holder. "Microsoft Flight Simulator" and related marks belong to their respective owners, and your use of that software is governed by its own terms. The Service also relies on third-party providers (hosting, maps, payments, Discord); your use of those may be subject to their terms as well.

9. Beta service & availability

The Service is under active development and offered on an ongoing beta basis. Features may change, break, or be removed, and builds or syncs may fail or be delayed. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Content built with Project Airports is for flight-simulation entertainment only and must never be used for real-world navigation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Airports and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or Aeros, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project Airports and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, virtual currency terms, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, give additional notice. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
