Try the MSFS 2024 airport builder in your browser
The sandbox above is the real Project Airportseditor, loaded with a published community airport. Drag the runway and taxiways around, place hangars, lighting and decor from the 1,300+ object catalog, and reshape the whole field - no download, no account, and no Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK or DevMode. It's the same browser-based tool you use to build a custom airport for MSFS 2024 from scratch.
What you can try right now
- + Move the runway & taxiways on a live satellite map
- + Place objects from the 1,300+ catalogue
- + Measure, snap & align every surface
- + See real-world coordinates as you build

Questions
- Do I need the MSFS SDK or DevMode to build an airport?
- No. Project Airports runs entirely in your browser - there's no SDK, DevMode, or command line. When your design is ready, our build servers compile it into a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 scenery package for you.
- Is Project Airports free?
- Yes. Claiming your first plot, designing your airport, and flying it are all free. A free companion app syncs your finished airports into the sim.
- Does it work with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?
- Yes. Airports compile to MSFS 2024 scenery packages, and the free companion app installs them into the sim - you'll find them in Free Flight search like any other airport.
- Do I need an account to try the demo?
- No. This sandbox loads a real published community airport in the full editor so you can move surfaces and place objects right away. Create a free account when you're ready to claim a plot of your own.
