The story of Lippstadt Cappel Airport

Anno 1185: Of the Founding of Lippstadt and That Heroic Track In that blessed year of Our Lord 1185, when the noble town of Lippstadt did rise from fertile earth, there emerged among men a soul of matchless daring: Dimitri the Glorious, whose name shall echo through the ages. With iron resolve, he did command a Track be built — a hallowed course whereupon the Naked Mole-Rats of the realm should contend in races most fierce, a spectacle worthy of every eye. And lo, this Track, forged in valour and tempered by Time, hath withstood the ravages of countless years! Through fire and fury, through the trembling of nations, through the Great Wars wherein mighty empires crumbled to dust — the First, and then the Second — this noble Track stood unshaken and unbowed, a testament to indomitable spirit. And in the year of grace 1967, upon the sixth day of July, this same hallowed ground was raised to purpose grander still: as the Runway of Lippstadt-Cappel Airfield, that mighty vessels of the sky might take their flight, bearing Dimitri's legacy unto ages yet unborn.
