The story of Flugplatz Elbsee
Elbsee Airfield (EDEX) is a small grass airfield located on the shores of Lake Elbsee in Hilden, Germany. The airfield features a 2,113 ft (644 m) grass runway, making it ideal for light general aviation aircraft, ultralights, and gliders.
Adjacent to the airfield are the Vabali Spa, the Hilden Windsurfing Club, a diving club, and a canoe club, creating a unique atmosphere where aviation meets recreation and nature. Especially during the summer months, the area around the lake is lively, offering pilots and visitors scenic views and a relaxing destination in the heart of the Rhineland.
