Stellar Peak - Pic du Midi FSPK

« Fly Stellar, Kiss the Stars. » Nestled on the legendary Pic du Midi de Bigorre at an altitude of 2,877 mètres (9439ft), Stellar Peak 2877 is an high-altitude altiport designed for experienced mountain pilots and adventure aviation. The steep, one-way runway demands precision, skill and respect for the mountain. At the summit, 3 dedicated helipads provide (more or less ;-)) direct access to the iconic observatory and panoramic terraces. More than a landing site, Stellar Peak 2877 is a rare gateway between the earth and the stars — a place where extreme flying, pure mountain air and astronomical heritage converge. Parkings: 1, 2 - Main apron 3 - At the Altiport, easy if there's no wind at the pass. 11 - Very easy, family tour, do not forget to take a dip in the cold "Oncet" Lake or go boating. 666 & 667 - STOL Seaplane required, like the free Scrapyard Seamonster from Flying Fries. 20 - There is a new luxury hotel complex halfway up the slope. So have a delicious cocktail in the pool. 100 - This time you reach the top of the Pic Duc Midi at 2,877m. There may be strong winds, but the helipad is quite wide. Beware of the cliff, which will not forgive any mistakes. 101 - Still at the very top, but this time on the north side. The helipad is smaller, but the mountainsides won't be an obstacle. 2877 - A beautiful helipad that provides direct access to the astronomical domes and their millions of stars. Be careful of the buildings and the mysteries of the deep sky. Sometimes you can be sucked into a black hole simply by spawning onto this rooftop. You can try the adventure by plane (bush flight or VSTOL type). The parking areas 1 and 2 are located at the Altiport at the pass. The approach in the East valley will require you to avoid the pylons and the cable cars. On the West side, you can dive directly into the valley towards the "Col du Tourmalet". At the "Lac de d'Oncet", you will test your landing skills and the durability of your gears on a rugged airstrip.
