Ripley's Retreat RP1

Welcome to Ripley's Retreat, the ultimate backcountry lakeside hideaway. Perched perfectly on a scenic outcrop just north of Wishon Cove on Bass Lake, RP1 is all about escaping the grind, kicking back and soaking in the wilderness. The approach up the valley and over the water is gorgeous but challenging, mind the density altitude and put your short and soft-field skills to the test. After you you tie-down, stroll up to the on-site restaurant to unwind. You can cool off on the deck with an ice-cold A&W Root Beer, or, if you brought a massive appetite, take a seat and try your luck at the legendary Old 96er steak challenge. Just remember the house rules: solo efforts only, and if they don't get the gristle and the fat, the deal is off!
