Connecticut Ansonia Bracey Field KCAB

In 1998, the Ansonia airport was shutdown. In its time it was a popular training airport with frequent flights with the C152 and Beechcraft. In May 2026, Bracey Kapstone funded the production of the Connecticut Ansonia Training Field, which was renamed to Bracey after his passing in a plane crash a month later. The airport was completed in early August and has begun serving flight spots for beginner pilots, and allows a variety of aircraft (Max size: King Air 350I), has 2 helicopter stands, 3 hangers, a terminal, a parking lot, and a gravel runway. The airport has a scenic approach and outlooks the Housatonic River. It has active ATC, Emergency services ready, and no lack of planespotter viewing areas. Happy spotting and safe flying!
