Captures the true spirit of this lovely dry lakebed we call Herlong Bombing Range. Lovely Jackrabit and Coyote territory. And an occasional buzzard flock. I used to live over thattaway.... ----> points westward.

I used to go ghost-towning and I remembered visiting Flanagan about 26 years ago. A quiet place. Just some foundations. But I remember the big valley it was in, and I thought to myself "this is quintessential Northern Nevada Territory here," so I decided to put up a little airstrip.

I'm right near Susanville some close miles to the West. SV7.. you should have a look. It's very nice. i used to live there. My other airport is in Alaska near Talkeetna. LL7

SV7 looks really great! The winds coming off it are pretty brutal. I must've flown into something serious because I was tipped on my side 90 degrees when I was heading towards Susanville. I love that the hangar opens when you arrive.
