The story of Mason Island Air Club

Mason Island Air Club is a fictional, secluded aviation retreat set on an island along the Mississippi River near Grafton, Illinois. It's isolation from mainstream society while being so closed to it makes flying in an important part of the experience, while also preserving the quiet and exclusive character of the air club. Pilots are rewarded with sweeping views of the Mississippi River, dramatic river bluffs, wooded hillsides and the scenery of Grafton and the scenery of the area. Whether you arrive for a quick stop or want to spend time exploring the island, Mason Island offers a unique feel that is far removed from a typical airport's feel.
