The story of Loweswater

Here's the story of EGK2........Quite a few years ago I spent the winter in a rusty old campervan in the English Lake District whilst I was saving money for a long cycling trip I wanted to do . Often I would park up in a layby next to this nice little 'Water'. I often thought that this field would make a nice little airstrip -although it would be quite a challenging strip to fly from. But the property is owned by the National Trust and I seriously doubt the planning authorities would allow it. I have lusted after a Sequoia F.8L Falco ever since I first saw one at Oshkosh many years ago. Well FS2024 has made those dreams a 'virtual reality'......... You will find a grass strip just over 500m in length, with some challenging approaches and with a helicopter landing pad in front of the hangars and a floatplane dock and hangar near the house There is also a small clubhouse for visiting pilots to have a cuppa - you can take the canoe out on the Water as well! (https://www.got-friends.com/collections/freeware/products/ole-canoe). Also there are 'holy cows and sheep that can not only walk on water, but run! You may need to do a low pass to clear them. There is also a challenging 120M sloped STOL 'altisurface' marked by a yellow box on the hill above the strip and a floating pontoon you can land a helicopter on to test your skills will becoming soon! Neither of my strips EGK1  or EGK2 will be turned into Lake District International. EGK2 will remain as my 'private airstrip'... but if I get enough Aeros EGK3 might be!

Here to help with EG3, i notice you dont have any status boards displayed, you would get more aeros if you did. SAV1

'm not sure........it's not something I've considered as I would have to hide it away in a hangar -I don't really think it fits in with the ambiance of the airfield - I didn't realise you got more aeros displaying it. . EG3K was just a random thought TBH I'not at all interested in airline flying in the sim -more GA orientated - there are some other GA strips I would like to develop in other parts of the world, but I shall be concentrating on getting the 32/14 powered side at EG1K sorted first - need to get that to a hard runway with lighting and navaids standard I'm before I'm totally finished with EG1K. I am actually hoping a stand alone scenery editor will be developed as there are certain aspects of PA I find quite frustrating. If not then I thin I will have to go away and learn the SDK. But it interesting exploring the capabilities of what is currently available

from experience with my own, when my board was displayed, the visitors fly in and go straight to board, if no board, less visitors, you don`t get any more aero`s, just more visitors so getting more aero`s, you can try it and see if it makes a difference, well your call of course, just trying to help increase your earnings
