Bartlett Memorial Field BMF154

This airport was a small grass field that was owned by a local farmer, a doctor and another person from Iowa city rented hanger space. In the early 70's I remember helping install the light with my dad And Jim (the owner) they were 5 gallon buckets, with a light fixture mounted on a peanut butter jar lid, and the jars painted blue. At the end of the strip we nailed buckets to the fence post. The windsock was mounted on the corn crib on top the cupola. Lots of memory's flying in and out of the air strip.
